Allowing horses to be horses whilst receiving total care

Who we are

Yorkshire Equine Youngstock & Retirement Livery is situated in the beautiful Vale of Ryedale, resting on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors

Yorkshire Equine Youngstock & Retirement Livery is situated in the beautiful Vale of Ryedale, resting on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.

A tranquil rural area, which is easily accessible all year round.

You won't find a better place for your best friend to move to

Purpose built stable blocks which are located on our family farm.

We live onsite, with the house overlooking the stable yard and provide 24/7 supervision and full CCTV.

Rest assured that any horse or pony moving here will quickly become part of the family, and will be cared for to the same high standards as our own animals, with their individual care being paramount.

Becoming a youngstock & retirement livery is catering for two very specific specialist groups of horses. It is not about just turning these animals out to look after themselves or to live cheap. These groups have very specific needs. When managed correctly retirements can have a long, active, and enjoyable retirement - just being a horse.

Youngsters can be high risk in the wrong environment. We find that most living in the safe learning environment that we provide are set up and ready for the next stage of their career in their 2 or 3 years.
